Using Your NDIS Funds to Purchase Our Bibs

Did you know you can purchase our bibs with NDIS funds?

Most babies will no longer need bibs from around 6 months, hence the reason most bibs on the market are very small, not very absorbent and made in babyish prints. But there are lots of kids with disabilities, that have a hard time managing their saliva. Able Collective bibs are specifically designed for these kids and now even teens and adults. Our age-appropriate unique design, ensures even the heaviest dribblers can keep their top dry while looking stylish. Depending on the participant and their plan they can claim funds through Core Consumables funding or Low Cost Assistive Technology.

To determine what is reasonable and necessary for your child, refer to these key points from NDIS.

In order to be considered reasonable and necessary, a support or service:

  • must be related to a participant’s disability
  • must not include day-to-day living costs not related to your disability support needs, such as groceries
  • should represent value for money
  • must be likely to be effective and work for the participant, and
  • should take into account support given to you by other government services, your family, carers, networks and the community.
We are not an NDIS registered provider yet! However you can still order with us and we hope to be registered in future.

Disclosure

We do not guarantee that you can or cannot use your NDIS funding to purchase any items from our store. NDIS funding is unique to the participant and what is approved for one participant may not be for the next. Please always check with your support coordinator, LAP or therapists for clarification.
